Jeanne Andersen holds a master's in English/Composition and Rhetoric from Washington State University with extensive experience in composition teaching at the college level and professional editing. She has taught in the program since l992. She is currently the Academic Coordinator.

Janice Corey holds a master's degree from University of Idaho in TESL and has taught in the field since 1997. She also coordinates activities for students.

Sheri Decker has an undergraduate degree in Anthropology. She earned her master's degree in ESL from the University of Idaho and has worked in the field since 1983. She taught for two years in the Kingdom of Nepal and in the United Arab Emirates and has traveled extensively throughout Asia and the Middle East. Sheri has worked at the IALC since 1994 and has taught most classes at all levels in the program. She has also served the IALC in various administrative positions such as Level Coordinator, Activities Coordinator, and Short-term Program Coordinator. She is currently serving as Community College Advisor and Marketing and Recruiting Assistant to the Director in addition to her teaching duties. Sheri's professional interests include materials development, curriculum design, computer assisted language learning, intercultural and cross-cultural training and language instruction through pop culture and music.

Pamela Duran earned her master's degree in TESL from the University of Idaho focusing on ESL writing. She has worked in the field for 16 years. Pam holds a bachelor's degree in Education and majored in both English and French. She spent a year studying in France, and she taught French and English in the public high schools for seven years. Pam has been at the IALC since Fall 1988. In her position as Director of the IALC, she also serves as Associate Director of International Programs at WSU. Previously, she held the position of International Student Advisor for three years and the position of Assistant Director for five years.

Wanda Hvezda holds a master's degree in TESL from the School for International Training and has taught in the field since 1991, including teaching EFL in Japan. She came to teach at the Language Center in 1997. She is currently the International Student Advisor but also teaches in the program.

Karen Jennings holds a master's degree in English Education with an emphasis in TESL from Temple University and has worked in the field for since 1988. She also has a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and worked in that field in the public schools and hospitals for nine years. She worked at the Language Center from l988-l989, returned in l992, and then between l999-2001, was on leave of absence at Santa Barbara City College. Karen has also been a short-term program coordinator and the Faculty Development Specialist at the IALC. She currently works part-time as an instructor and Community College Advisor. Karen is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and additionally has been trained and licensed by the Institute of Language and Phonology to offer accent reduction training.

Tom Lee received is master's degree in TESL from the University of Idaho but also has degrees in Spanish, Vocational Education and Animal Science and worked in Animal Science and business prior to coming to ESL. He has been teaching ESL since 2000 and has been with the Language Center since 2000.

Barbara Nasralla earned her master's in TESL from the School for International Training and has worked in the field for since 1989. She has been at the Language Center Since 1993. During her appointment at the IALC, she took a leave of absence to teach in the United Arab Emirates. She was the Academic Coordinator for several years along with being an instructor in the program.

Diana Presley holds a master's degree in TESL from the School for International Training and has taught in the field since 1993, including EFL in Mexico. She took coursework and has developed experience in all areas, but her special interests are in Business English, English for Adult Learners, ESL for potential graduate students, and pronunciation. She started teaching at the Language Center in 1994. She also worked for Spokane Community College Adult Education Program, and has created and piloted a similar evening program with the Language Center.

Joanne Sellen received her master's in Linguistics with a concentration in TESOL from the University of Michigan and has taught in the field since 1983, including EFL in Japan, Thailand and Mexico. She has worked at the Language Center since l992. She has extensive administrative experience with curriculum and is currently working on developing the program's ESL on-line courses after taking a leave of absence to develop on-line courses for Washington State University.

James Shannon graduated with his master's degree from Kansas University and has taught in the field since 1969 with extensive EFL experience in France and Saudi Arabia. His adminstrative experience includes being an academic advisor, curriculum director, special programs coordinator, and assistant director. He has worked at the Language Center since l987.

Elena Smith received her Doctorate in English Linguistics from St. Petersburg State University, Russia and her master's degree in Philology in German languages from the same university. She also has her teaching certification for the state of Idaho. She has taught in the field since 1977 with sixteen years spent teaching EFL in Russia, Finland and Japan. She began working at the Language Center in 2000.

Mary Ullrich earned a master's degree in Teaching from the University of Idaho and has also completed additional courses in ESL and Danish. She started teaching at the Language Center in l989. She has worked in the field since 1987 with EFL experience in Ghana and Malawi. She has coordinated a special program, been the IALC Activities Coordinator and a foreign student advisor in International Programs. She also designed and taught a pilot orientation course for new foreign students.
